I really don’t think it is a good idea to try and control what people eat. If people want to screw up their life and get fat that’s their problem. Taking away someone’s freedom is wrong.

There’s nothing wrong with butter – it’s healthy in moderation. Light alternatives and processed foods aren’t good. I have hardly any fat so why should I be punished for other people’s gluttony? Finally, Denmark’s taxing of the follwing is wrong because they are all healthy foods:
Oils: Olive and Coconut
Nuts: Cashew, Brazil, Pine, Pecan, Macadamia
Seeds: Sunflower, Pumpkin
Dairy: Eggs, Butter, Milk
Meat: Beef, Lamb, Pork
Avocado

I’m danish and we just had an election and we got a new government that wanna make Denmark more healthy and green (more natur friendly).
I think it’s good but at the same time i think that if they raise it too much ppl will go to either germany or sweden to shop big loads more often (some do it sometimes already because it’s cheaper). Also factories or big cooperations that make unhealthy, might move to other countries to make more money and then Denmarks income will fall.
But time will tell
